I too have read and heard that, but mine went back on good as new. It was a good hard tug to get it off, but just a simple light click going back on. I've pulled up on it since to check it and there's no way it's gonna come off on accident or during hard shifting. It seems like it will take the same kinda pull to get it off as it did the first time. Others seem to have problems with theirs coming off though, so be prepared to buy one just in case yours is like theirs.

 

i reused my ball as well. and unlike RR i pulled mine off the first time i got on it when i pulled to second. threw it back in N and pounded it back on and no problems anymore. guess i just got over excited. [:@]
