Default dark, cloudy brake fluid

while at the dealership today I spoke with one of their head techs. - I'm sure you've seen my posts on brake issues - so I won't go on and on. but

I wanted an opinion from someone knowledgeable - when I complained about the very cloudy fluid in my brake resevoir the tech stuch his finger in and showed me as it dripped on his other hand that it is "pretty clear" the "darkness is just sediment and don't worry about it" he also said that fluid gets real dark after heating it up a couple of times"

what are your knowledgable opinions?

thanks

He's right!
Once you see your brake fluid looking black, also at times smelling burnt, its time to drain the system

I didn't notice how many miles you have on your SRT-4, but if you're driving it HARD and braking HARD, then that kind of brake fluid is to be expected. If in doubt, by all means bleed the system and install new fluid....brakes aren't something you want to skimp on.

more driving hard than breaking hard - but occasionally I need to hit 'em hard.

the thing that worries me is the fact that it was discoloring at 800 miles and is almost black now at 2100 miles.
