Never heard of something exactly like that before......sometimes the cat converter will cause a smell, but I haven't heard of that problem in our cars. What type of gas/additives have you been using?
I run 93 but every once in a while you get the crap at the bottom of the tank before they refill. I had a Focus and I had to change stations because of bad gas.

Yeah, you NEVER want to get gas at a station where you see a tanker truck filling the tanks......it stirs up all kinds of crap that will only cause problems. It's better to wait and then fill up.
when my tps wiring went out... my car was running real rough and i got a "raw sewage" smell too! kinda like a cross between a rotten egg and tacobell fart [:'(]
