i have searched and searched for wheels that appear stock but are 7 or 7.5 wide. i have found some but none that appear exactly stock. what are some pros/cons that anyone has heard of or experienced with this method?

lots of people do it, but personally i've always been a bit leary of the practice. cutting a welding a wheel is never as strong as the original one piece design. there's a company called aeroforce custom 6061 or something like that which will build you a custom wheel for a very good price. they were a vendor on forums but i can't seem to locate them there now. i'm sure if you search you could find them.

I've also seen it done but wouldn't think about doing it on my daily transportation, on an SRT-4 no less. If that wheel fails I need to know that the person I'm suing for damages has enough money to support me and my family if I'm disabled or killed. Safety is the number 1 priority. If the car was just for racing maybe I'd consider it ,,,,,,,,nah,,,, I still wouldn't do it.
