Let me start by saying I am a noob to srt-4's... I recently bought an srt-4 from someone that has done a stage upgrade, is there any way I can visually find out if it's stage 1 or stage 2? The guy I bought it from is in europe now and I have no way of getting ahold of him.

 

right off if it has the 'toys' controls under the radio, then its stage 2.
if its without toys you can either tell by looking at one of the injectors i think the wastegate actuator looks different as well

come to think of it the pcm may have the stage printed on it

 

Nope, no toys. I don't know what the stock WGA looks like either, any other suggestions?

 

let me see if i can find some pics of what the stock wga looks like compared to the stage 2, they may look the same but i know that S2 comes with a different one as well as 682cc/min injectors

 

Your help is appreciated ... I looked at the injectors but I don't see anything about it's flow rate.

 

sorry, i looked at a stage 2 wga vs the S0 (S1 uses stock wga) and there is no difference that i can tell visually. can you read anything on the pcm? i wish i could help more but mine is a S0, so i dont really know what differences one can "look" for visually

 

if you look at the MAP sensor(on top of the intake manifold, second rung from the left, you can't miss it) the stage 2 has a white sticker that says

3 Bar Sensor
P4510365
(serial number)

the factory or S0 is black and doesn't have anything easily visible written on it. this sensor comes with the S2 or S3 kit. if it doesn't say that then it might just be the factory upgrade(sometimes confused with S1) found on 04's and 05's

Ok if your srt is a 2003 model then you have a stage one if it is a 2004 model and you have a stage 1 then he lied to you and the car si stock.......the stage 1 for a 2003 model was a new pcm and injectors.....that the 2004 and 2005 models already have installed from factory

 

this might sound silly but hop in the car start her up rev it if it reaches 6500rpms u gotta stage 2 if it just reaches 6240 its a stage 0 I suppose.
