I recently brought my car to the track and was very disappointed I have stage 2 and many other mods and my best time was and 14 flat and I can't figure out why. My rt is good and my car is boosting I just can't get a good time any suggestions

 

Post some more info, such as your 60ft times, 1/8th time and speed, 1/4 time and speed, etc. My guess would be that its your launch. Launch is everything, makes or breaks you. You might just need some practice too if you haven't drag raced much before. I got faster times just from running more because of the practice.

60- 2.431
1/8- 9.487

ur R/t has nothing to do w/ ur 1/4 times cuz the clock starts when ur car leaves the line so just concentrate on a good launch and not so much on the christmas trree...but ur 60' should b around a 2.00...nail those 60' times and u'll nail low 13's

 

when i go to the strip i usualy rev around 2500 rpm be for u launch and also a WOT shift should knock a few 10ths of a second off

Judging by your trap speed, you most likely have loose hoses somewhere from your turbo outlet to your throttle body. Tightening mine helped me jump my trap from 99 to 103 or 105. Check all your hose clamps on those lines. Go to the srtforums.com , search for "tighten " titles only. Also "simple and stage" again titles only. You can see where to tighten, and the gains folks have gotten from this.

Stage 2 times list. Look at the traps for folks that either had no leaks or fixed them. If you are not trapping over 100, your car is falling down high up. Are you seeing 20 psi on the gauge?

So was I, I actually got to talk to a very special person, who explained to me that if you are leaking boost, the car keeps piling it on, trying to meet the torque goal. So, while you do hit 20, that makes the charge air temps soar. the car knows thats a bad thing, so it pulls timing and richens up, saving the engine. good for longevity, but makes your 1/4 times suck. Tighten those hoses!!!!! Betcha start seeing 16-17ish, less boost, but watch your trap speeds soar. And if you launch well, your times drop.
