Default NOS Purge Systems

What does everyone think of the NOS Purge Systems? Most people I know dont like NOS cuz they think it is a cheap way of getting power, so they dont like the purge system.

Like any other mod, it's going to be up to you to decide if the risks and benefits are worth it. For me, no. But if you are going to go with N2O, then a purge makes sense. I'll admit to having enough of an "inner ricer" that the idea of the purge coming out of two small holes drilled in the rams head hood ornament, like nostrils, DOES appeal to me.

Snort, snort!!!!

The cool part about the purge is that if you dont dig the NOS, your able to fill your tanks up with CO2. I did some research, and either all tanks can be filled up with CO2, or certain ones. So you can get the looks, but in a cheaper way :-)

Me personally, I like the idea of NOS but not for the engine. If or should I say when I put it on I am going to spray the intercooler for a colder intake charge. I would also use the purge system mainly for looks and show because you do not need to purge NOS when spraying the intercooler.

I too am not a fan of nitrous. It has it's good parts as well as it's bad, I would only use it for spraying the intercooler if anything at all. I too also love the Rams head nostril set up idea. The power boost from nitrous is to harsh and all at once like a punch, this is what wears the engine out quickly and causes parts to break, that is one of the main reasons that I don't like it. Besides, in the long run it's far more expensive than other mods even though initally it is cheaper. If you are dependent on the nitrous to win, it'll cost you a fortune refilling the bottles all the time. It's only good for a few seconds out of a bottle before it needs filled back up and if you run into someone that's messing with you and your empty, then your screwed. I will only do mods that are a full time power increase and that is always available right there at my right foot.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley4.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]

I like the idea of it but then again i think its a cheap trick..but thats just me. I dont think its respected that much either..atleast not around here. I remember watchin a race between a civic which had nos and a rsx-s and ofcourse the civic won but after the race when people pulled over to the side to check out each others car everyone was like yo your car is fast and tight...After they found out he was sprayin..he wasnt respected..like the win didnt even count..I think it would be cool to fool around with but me personally I wouldnt feel like I really beat that person...I think its more respected on the track running the 1/4 mile and stuff but do your thing...peace
