ok what does cutting the hood scoop do exactlly i know iv seen pics on here some where but why would you want to do that sorry for the stupid question

I'm very interested in doing this and is going to be one of my first mods I do when spring comes. Please post pics and maybe I can pull it off before winter and just put something to block it when it snows!!

I did the mod..........took all of 10 minutes. I'm going to buy a 180 stat next week.
