Tranny Troubl???
Several months ago I noticed that I some times have difficulty shifting the car into gear. It's more noticable going into first (even from a dead stop) but it happens going into other gears as well. Most times I have to really force it into first, sometimes I'll think it's in first gear and it won't be, other times it will slip out of first when I get going. Before you ask, yes the clutch is fully depressed. I've put off taking it to the dealer thinking it's just one of those things, but it's really starting to make me made. Has anyone heard of this or had this problem. I'd like to have a little bit of information before taking it to the dealer.

well, mine got much smoother after i changed the fluid. just be sure to use the MOPAR ATF+4. how many miles on in? it could be the synchros as well. it may be needed for a dealership trip.

How many miles on your beast? Dodge lowered the recommended tranny fluid change times on the SRT-4.......

it could be your clutch, I couldnt get in into any gears when I would drive the car hard from a couple of pulls, it would be so hard to get in gear. I took it in and got a new clutch and throw out bearing and I could shift fine again, but then third was a bitch again so I got a new tranny under warranty.

I just changed my tranny fluid, got the new mobile 1 fluid, feels nice and new. I don't really drag it or do any hard shifting so my tranny is fine, clutch too. I do need new brakes though [:-]
