Default Stage 1 from Howell automotive

I ordered my Stage 1 from Howell automotive 2 months ago and they have no idea when they may get it or therefore they have no idea when it will ship it to me. When I purchased it they said 4-6 weeks and most other places were saying something similar,,,,,,4-6 weeks. I understand it takes time because Mopar has to program the Stage 1 with my VIN and mileage but is 2 months what you all experienced also ?

I bought this from Howell because he is a sponsor of this forum but I'm wondering now if maybe I should have bought it elsewhere. They seem pretty decent on the phone when I call but they don't respond to e-mails and they are blaming this delay on Mopar, telling me they have orders older than mine still waiting. Anyone else have experiences like this getting a PCM ?

stage kits are generally rather slow, but they tend to be even slower when ordered from somewhere other than a dealer. i've heard of people waiting months for s3 kits from modern and i got mine in 12 days from mpsc. try emailing or calling flightsystems directly and seeing what they say.

I guess you never stop learning. I should have asked you all in here before I ordered the Stage 1 from Howell. I was counting on their promise of 4-6 weeks.

I was looking for the DC Sports strut bars also and saw Howell had a great price on them so I called them inquiring about availabilty and they said they would have to order them and it would be 2 weeks before they got them. Then I wrote 2 other popular speed shops and asked them if they would match Howell's price, their comment was, and I quote,

Howell Automotive doesn’t do much business so they’re not aware of the price increase of these strut bars. We would lose money if we matched this price. If you can get them at this price from them, I say go for it.

Just something to think about when you're ordering parts and want them in a reasonable timeframe. Check the availability and ask the Forum members what their experiences were.
