Alright, I was driving my car last night, A friend of mine wanted to see what my car was made of, so I take him on the freeway, I punch it, first and second gear feel sweet, here comes third, nice right... here comes fourth... oh ****, I think my turbo just took a ****, accelerator feels like ****, not juice from the turbo, rpms drop, I am like wtf just happened, turn the car on and off, and it was back up but gradually going back down, this morning it was ok, haven't pushed it, do I have to reset my pcm, I know I had a check engine light for some power steering **** P 0551, power steering performance switch it turned off on its own, then started acting all wierd, what should I do?

 

What you should do is the most simple, check for boost leaks EX. check your IC lines, check all your vacume lines, check your intake and make sure your MAS isnt either unplugged, or dirty. it sounds to me like you poped a hose based on how you explained it, or at least under boost a hose is starting to seperate *shrugs* just start off simple give each hose a lilwiggle and see if they just need to be tightened as for that CE light that may be just coincidental but check the PS fluid and see if it needs to be toped off??? Let us know what you find when you check it all out

 

Sounds a lot like when I blew off my air intake temp sensor........

How do I go about checking that out?

 

Well, for starters, pop the hood, then look twards the back of the motor to find the turbo, then check the pipes/tubes coming out of it and check to see if any of them are falling off......seriously... wrenching isnt your strong point is it...well dont worry about it the more you learn about your car the better off you will be...so, check any sensors (things with wires going into those tubes) and see if they are loose. Just go with your gut.
