Just to let you guys and girls know...
I have posted before that I was having major problems with my 05 Srt Stage 3. I am still working on getting the ball rolling and I am taking dodge and the dealership to court. I am suing them for everything that I can get. I will let you guys know how that goes.
not being street legal has nothing to do with anything. all it means is that they didn't get carb/epa approval.
what happened with the car that you're suing them?

PSI, it goes back to this previous thread,,,,,,,,,,,,,,https://dodgeforum.com/m_555996/mpag.../tm.htm#560785
ah yes the s3 car that damaged the "tone rings" which i still haven't a clue what that's supposed to mean. i think it was supposed to be piston rings, but who knows.
either way, good luck. i don't think for a second that you'll win, but go ahead and try. courts do usually rule in favor of the customer, but in this case you did major modifications to the car and as soon as the judge sees that he'll say that it's your fault. remember that judges aren't mechanics. either way though, if it is the piston rings that fried it would be because of the stage kit quite clearly, and there's really no way you're going to argue otherwise. a bigger turbo, increaded boost, leaner runnign conditions, you really think you're gonna win that? you'd have more luck going after mopar performance in that case, but since they tell you there's no warranty that's not going to happen as they covered themselves quite nicely. and no where does dcx ever say that your warranty stays intact with any stage kit.
so good luck, but i don't think you'll win.

Good luck 05SRT !!! I still won't believe it will make it to arbitration until you tell me it got there and you're done, somewhere along this line Chrysler is going to blink.

Thanks everyone for all the good luck wishes......But I have already gone over this but I have proof that I was told that my warranty would be good. And if it is voided they have to prove that the stage kit caused the damage...under the Moss Magnusson Warranty Act! But I will let everyone know how it goes!
Go for it, but don't be surprised if you don't win. The folks at DCX covered themselves on all types of "performance parts" warranties, including Stage Kits. I hope you have some sort of written/signed/official/guarantee/warranty paperwork rather than just "I was told that my warranty would be good." That is actually a true statement UNLESS they show the Stage 3 Kit caused the prolem, which, as PSI Chick mentioned before, won't be hard to do.
And whatever you say in court, don't tell the judge, "Yeah, I took it out TO SEE WHAT IT COULD DO a few times" as you said in your original posting......when they see the performance figures for the car with the Stage 3, it's going to cast a shadow on your credability as a law abiding citizen, especially in a state like Alabama where they enforce speed limits like they were gospel.
