Yep,,,,put me on the list.

What list????

I know,,,,,you are thinking to yourself "the people magazine list of hottest men of 2006?????"

No, sadly, not THAT list.....put me on the list of people who have had their death guage give out on them.

Now,,,,,,the question is, why would my death guage give out on me? How, exactly, does a guage just quit like that??? That's like having your seat quit. That's like having your rear view mirror to stop working. How in the hell does a guage just quit like that?

I've driven cars for over ten years now. Okay, make that 20 years.........gawd,,,,,alright,,,,,,27 years, and anyhow, in all that time, I have never had a guage quit on me.

I wasn't always rich, ya know. There were times in my life where I couldn't afford a high dollar neon. Yes,,,I know,,,,hard to believe when you see how wildly successful I am now, but yes, there were times when things weren't so good for ole Word. I had cars where the door handles broke off. I had cars where the windows wouldn't roll down. I even had a car where the hood wouldn't stay latched, but in all those piece of **** cars, they had one thing in common.....the guages all worked.

I feel shafted....dare I say it,,,,even slighted. I never abused my guage. I never even took it past 15. My guage was like a bald headed 40 year old divorcee..........it never saw much action.

And off I go to the dealership.....this should be fun.

Been thinking about what you said, and so I decided to do some research. It looks like the Stewart Warner guage would be a good match for the stock one, but only a lot better??? The lighting on them seems to have the same kind of stock lighting, too.

Is this a good choice? I did some research on how to install one and it doesn't seem like it would be all that hard.

the warner gauges are good, but not cheap. i went with the srt 30psi autometer one and it's been working perfectly. some other good options if you want a different look are the cobalt series and the defi gauges (these are beautiful!!!!!!)

Thanks! I'll look into those. I saw the defi guages and they looked great, but whew,,,,expensive. I hadn't looked at the SRT autometer ones....I may go that route, too.
