Default compression ratio

I am Rebuilding an SRT4 engine block from scratch. It is going to be for racing and show. Stock compression ratio is 8.1:1 should i go with a higher or lower compression ratio on this performance block.

Depending on what your planning to do with boost. We have two 2.6 stroker motors running 9.1 compression and one will be boosting about 35-40psi. This car will be going pro next year however. We also have a couple other built motor's that are run 8.5:1 running about 25psi. All on race gas.

how does the stroker kit idle, and did you have to lower redline due to bore to stroke ratio?
