leaving the line...
this question is generally for srt4 owners with big power...i have over 410whp on pump gas...
what rpm's is it safe and best to launch from? my srt tuner told me NOT to drop the clutch... not even to let it chirp coming of the line because if i push that hard i will snap an axle...
does this mean it wouldnt be safe to launch from 3-4,000??? or do i just need to ease the clutch out and let it cath slow enough just so that it wont slip??
and, if i am not supposed to launch hard, how do i leave the line when im running someone??
thanks.

Personally I upgraded to the DSS Stage 3 axles and launched on slicks (8x26 Hoosiers)
However, WhiteMnt's car ran mid-high 11's with the stock axles running slicks (8.5x26 M&H) and dropping the clutch launching at about 4500-5000 rpm. He did eventually snap an axle and then upgraded to the DSS Stage 3 axles.
My car is coming back together (finally) and it now has DSS Stage 5 axles along with an automatic transaxle and will be running 10x26 M&H Slicks.

you chouldn't pay me to put dss axles on my car. those things are the biggest pos axles ever. every single person that i know that has gotten them has snapped them, and dss customer service sucks to top it off. stock axles all the way for me. there's nothing wrong with the stockers, and yea they do break, but i'd rather spend $100 getting a new stock axle and have it in three days than have to fight with dss for a month to replace it under warranty, which they don't even seem to want to do.
i launch from around 5k-5500 at the track, and the only time i ever broke an axle was because i screwed up on the burn out (started too far inside the waterbox). there's no issue with the stock axles launching from high rpms.
