Default Rough Idle

Hi all, i have recently changed the spark plugs on my baby because i just installed quite a few mods but the idle seems a bit too rough for new plugs. The recent mods were the stage 2 w/o toys, E.D. hard pipes, HKS BOV, and block off plate. So, last weekend i changed the oil and decided to go with new spark plugs (NGK Iridiums at .035) as well and the idle after the change felt a bit more rough than usual, could i have a defective spark plug or maybe bad plug wire ( wires are MSD). Under WOT, it feels fine and slow driving is no problem at all, but its when i come to a stop and idle that it just seems too rough. Could i be worrying too much or what else can i check, i also recently installed the MPx Heat shield to help a little, which i had posted a few days ago.

Thanks guys any and all help is appreciated.

P.S. Sorry for making my post so long[sm=boink3.gif]

.035 is a little low for an irridium, might want to raise that some. be careful, the electrodes break easily. what's your psi levels?

I have my Iridiums at .029 but I have stg 3 w/ bolt ons. Any higher and I was experiencing spark blow out. Sounds like more to this story then just plugs.

thanks for the reply guys psi iam hitting 17 to 18 and holding pretty solid, but hozay the problem started after i changed the sprkplugs and ive heard 35 is the norm for higher performance cars gap. But to end this thread i took them out again and 2 of them were a little off like at 38 but i got them all to 35 and seems to a lot smoother now. I will let u guys know if this solved the problem.

Thanks guys and gals!!

PS hey psi what do u have your car spark plugs set at?

And also if the stage 2 replaced your injectors and fuel rail...if i remember correctly it does....if you read the manual there is a warning about the "fuel line pulse" my stage 3 idles a little rougher but not that bad...it is actually the fuel line pulsing if you listen to it and feel the vibration it will have a very constant and smooth rhythm....try this

She has entirely different plugs than all of us, gapped differently to support the setup that her car runs. The closer you gap them you will get a slightly rougher idle. But making sure that they're all gapped the same is key.

I had the same problem with my 04 but it wasnt spark you need to check your throtle sensor it is a harness under your intake and my wires were frayed and was giving off different readings it bucks really hard when your almost at a stop right
