Alright, I go to turn on my car today after work right... turn the key in the ignition all I get is a loud ****ing CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK... try again, same damn sound. Then I try again and its just a EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sound, then some dude from work gives me a jump start and still the same sound... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE then a sputter and then back to life.

 

Sounds like low voltage from a bad battery.,or a charging system problem.________5TOEZ_______

 

Yeah, happened to me too cause my batery voltage was too low. You get a lot of clicks but no turnover or spark. Mine happened because of one my sound system was hooked up wrong and 2, I haven't drove my car in a while. Unless you got something draining the battery or hooked up to it, I would suggest taking a look around to see what it might be so it won't happen again.

 

Most likely it's either the battery being weak, alternator's shot and it's running the battery down since it's running mostly or only off battery power or the starter solenoid is going bad.

 

I would get your battery checked. Cause my car was pullin that **** a month ago and I tested my battery and it was fine. It turned out it was the starter. Mine would make a whine and a grind noise when starting. It scared me. Had starter replaced and now its running like a champ again.

 

This is one of the many reasons why I cannot stress enough how important it is to have gauges for certain things like voltage, oil pressure, temperature, etc., of which the Neon's/SRT-4's are lacking the first two and need them.
