How important is the walbro fuel pump to the car or what kind of performance can one expect, i have a stage 2 w/o toys already so the injectors are bigger but no aftermarket fuel rail. Would like to know as i have not done any fuel upgrades to my baby except the stage 2, should i consider it or not.

if you have nothing to tune fuel with then there's no point unless your stock pump is taking a crap on you, which has been know to happen a few hundred times or so.

 

thanks PSI thats what i figured, my stock one works just fine, thought a better fuel pump would add some powa!! but i guess a management system would come first, either that or maybe a fuel return line?

s2 runs really rich to begin with and could always use some leaning out. a dtec would be a nice investment for a s2 car. adding the pump without tuning will just make you run richer, and probably slower as well. you can run a dtec without a return line, that's how i'm set up.

 

PSI: So Stg 3 runs a little lean also? I want to replace the Stg 3 fuel pump with the Walbro 255. Is it a direct replacement?
