mopar upgrade question
You do not need the S2 to get the S3... you do not need the S1 to get the S2 (in fact the S2 changes the S1 part completely)...

i have a stock exhaust, but others have good advice on exhausts... wait for their responses...

you don't need stage 2 for stage 3, but you can get it an upgrade. stage 3 incorperates some of the parts of stage 2, so when it's finally released, you can get either the whole stage 3 kit, or a stage 3 kit that is an upgrade from stage 2. stage 3 will use the same sensors and possibly the same injectors, we don't know exactly yet.
i have a borla exhaust with a 3" dp and o2 housing. it's pretty loud. it's better with the cat in than the race pipe (my dp is interchangeable).

Unless you're planning on pushing over 300 HP, the Mopar/Borla system is great. It's louder (but not too loud) and gives a realistic performance boost. It also costs less than most of the others and it's well made.[&:]
I too have the Mopar/Borla exhaust and I like it. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as loud as I would have hoped, but it does have a really nice tone/sound to it and also improved the performance. I will be getting a larger O2 housing and DP/cat, this should improve both performance as well as sound.
And eventually I will take a trip to the local exhaust shop and get a SS pipe to replace the section that has the 1 resonator in it for more of everything, mainly for track use.
