so last night I'm coming back from the movies, and while I'm sitting at a stop light u know minding my own busines some rich kind on a new M3 pulls up next to me and takes a look at my car and nods his head and says something to his girlfriend, and they start laughing.instantly I'm like.." wtf is he laughing at.." then he starts reving his engine and goes for it .He totally killed me from a dig, I had no traction and wheel hoped all the way through mid 2nd.Then he downshifts to 2nd and I do the same.I yelled at him .."hey.." and he didn't even look at me, maybe he thought he was too good to speak to me.So I down**** too and honked 3 times, he goes after the 2nd honk and manages to pull half a car on me, then he starts waving good bye, but the funny thing is he couldn't pull on me.He satayed half a car in front till mid 3rd, then I started to pull on him...slowly but still pulling and I think he realized this and stopped.People like this **** me off real bad....people who think they're better than you because they got money...dumbass.Well I had 2 more people with me, and my car for some reason dropped the boost to 10 at 5000 RPMs in every gear..and also running with a huge boost leak on my stock bov.....i'm not trying to make excuses but i thught he was gonna do a lot better than that.Too bad I haven't gotten my wastegate.

 

still a descent run. m3's are quick little boogers. never had the privledge of racing a 3 but have messed around with a M5. not sure if theyre the same power train, but that M5 was a fast ride and absolutely beautiful as well. the guy pulled over after he jumped me (stock) about 3 cars. he had never seen a srt b4 and he was majorly impressed. hes a prominant MD in the B'ham area and he said that he was looking at porsches for his 15 year old son who was turning 16 two months later. he looked over the srt and wanted to go for a ride so of course i let him and he was majorly impressed. after we got back & discussed what i payed and the mods that i knew of that were available he said that he was sold and decided that was deff. the car he was going to buy. so i saw his son at the track a couple of months ago and that car was so ungodly all the way around (absolutely gorgious car with 428whp to match). so moral of story : even multi millionare prominant doctors are very impressed of these little cars that everyone thinks of as "just a neon". i was extremely proud and thought you guys might be as well

 

the first story sounds a lot like me racing the evo!! LOL. . . i thought you were trying to make fun of me or something. i'm glad i kept reading cuz i was feeling pretty bad! awesomedriving man!! i can imaginehanging with an m3 isn't an easy task!! i need to race an m3. there's this rich boy that lives in the next neighborhood who has one. i don't care if i lose. i just want to see how i stack up. plus this is what we live for! striving to be the fastest!!

 

make sure you race him from 2nd gear....and if your tires are bad then 3rd.Thank god I powershifted, if not he would've destryed me.Good luck

 

first of all i live in newport beach so I see more m3s than i know what to do. just to let everyone know if you can drive your srt4 well then youll beat a m3 everytime. they will have you into 2nd but after that its all sad agry looks bysome rich person. good kill and there is nothing better than beating a beamer in a neon.

 

heh, sounds interesting. the only thing around here is little civics, and gs eclipses. theres never any fun in this town so i dont have any good stories with this car yet. but the day i smoke someone with a nice fancy done up car, thatll be the best cus then i can turn around and laugh at every one who says "you have a pos neon"

 

people who talk **** about othercarsareusually jealous or rich with bad *** cars(like the m3 i'm going to beat sooner or later). usually it's the people who have ****ty cars that say that anyway. don't let that stuff bother you. i always letmy car do the talking. and if you do happen tolose, give it up to whoever beatus. because us"P.O.S. NEONS"are some pretty hard basterds to beat!!

 

do you have any mods done to your car?? i'm just interested because i would like to have a heads up before i try it with this bimmer! i'm gonna race him either way but i just want to have a clue before i head out there. thanks mxrnick!!

 

i just have a cai, plug wires, a mbc (that kinda works), and the mobar blue plate bov. even when my car was stock i ran with the m3s just fine. if you can get all the gears at the right time you can beat him. its all a drivers race, good luck!

 

well like i mentioned before..I was only running 10 psi wich is no where near stock....and a boost leak.I just got my AGP WGA last friday,and I hope I see him again.If your planning on modding your car i suggest you take a look at modernperformance.com that's were i got my wga, it only took 3 days to arrive and they got great costumer service
