spinning off the line
They are talking about motor mount inserts. The Prothane inserts are color coded, the softer street inserts are black and the solid race inserts are red. I have the race inserts in mine.
ok- first, yes, 2200 rpm seems to be good if you want to just dump the clutch, just don't fall to the old habit of flooring it as soon as you drop the clutch or it will spin like mad on you. give it a sec to hook up and then put the spurs to it.
boogers are booger bushings, which go on your shifter and linkage on the tranny (under the battery tray) and make the shifts more firm- couple this w/ the short thow shifter (sts) and you have what i think and everyone else seems to agree is a winning combo. i just put the bushings in and i wasn't sure if i liked them at first (they're definitely different), but now that i'm used to them i do.
by the way, not having a cai, those tranny linkage bushings were a pain in the **** to get to, as i had to pretty much remove the airbox to remove the battery tray, to get to the linkage- but it was worth it. good thing altus afb has a good auto skills shop.

Yeah, I still need to install my lower insert and all of my booger bushings. I hope to have them all in by the next time I hit the track, not to mention an even better cool down between runs.
