I know that k&n makes three diffrent intakes for the srt-4 but which one is better. there is the 57 series carb legal, 63 series carb pending,or the typhoon cold air. let me know what you all think about these intakes. I heard that typhoon cold air intake brackets brake let me know all opinions will be taken

 

I've got the 57 kit on my car. There were some problems with the Typhoon about sucking the hose at the turbo shut or something. Anyway, I bought the 57 because I don't have to worry about water from a true CAI, it's CARB certified, and it still stays cool because of the bracket KN supplies. Any CAI or other intake is more for sound than it is for HP. HP gains are negligible.

 

is there a braket for the silenoids andthe breather on the 57 series what is the diff between 57 & 63 besides carb pending.

 

I've had my Typhoon for almost 3 years and no problems, except possibly the hose sucking thing. The brackets are fine, it's the AEM that has the issue with the pipe breaking at the mounting brackets.

 

The 57 does have a bracket for the solenoids and this bracket also protects the intake from the heat of the engine.
