hey quick ? about the clutch. i was wondering how long usually before the stock clutch starts going out, especially on a car the hardley ever gets on it. and when it does need to be replaced whats a good clutch to buy for a daily driven car?
I'm at 75k on my stock clutch. I haven't had any issues with my transmission at all yet. I change the fluid every 12k, and drive the car relatively easy. He has a few track passes on him, and some spirited driving, and my clutch is still in great shape. Not to mention I taught myself how to drive stick on this car.
trans should ATF+4. mopar from the dealer (i have seen it at walmart for like 4bucks a quart though). you can also get a small bottle of friction modifier for about 7 bucks fromthe dealer. there is debate as to whether it is worth putting in, but for the cost i say why not.
i've always used the mopar stuff and it's been fine, don't really see a reason to change. people have had good results with the redline fluids though, i might give that a try next.
