I raced an srt8 last night and got my *** handed to me. I have no idea what if any work is done to the srt8 but we were driving on the highway and he drove by me really fast so I caught up to him and he slowed down to about 60 mph so Iput it in 3rd and we took off but I was actually ahead of him until I hit 4th and he just walked right past me like I was nothing. Atleast it was a fellow dodge owner. I didn't think I would beat him but I like to race to see how my car compares to others.Anyone else raced one?

 

And also I only have an intake and nothing else right now. Pretty much stock

first off, which srt8 was it? there are 4 of them. but it really doesn't matter, they're all faster than the srt-4 anyway.

 

you have to understand that the srt-8 Hemi's have 425hp and our 4's only have 230ish stock. Even if you go on th ehigh end of 250.. there still no way you could of kept up with one.

Go stage 3 or 50 trim then they will be very suppirsed.

 

I slayed an SRT-8 Cherrokee from a 20 to 100roll. Only 1 car...but a win isa win.

 

well, 8>4 so SRT8 must be > SRT4. yes, if your referring to a charger SRT8, they are very quick... quicker than a stock srt4. the stock srt8 jeep actually runs a 13.5 so it too will beat you out.

at $20,000 over our stickers and 425 hp they betterwalk on us, if i remember right all of the srt-6's & 8's were over $40,000. those 8's just sound mean with the mopar exhaust and intakes.

 

the srt4's used to be the fastest car that dodge made (behind the viper, of course) .. but now the srt8's are all faster than the 4.

 

One way you might stand a chance is from a dig to about 40 the srt8 chargerfrom a dead stop is hard to get rolling (weighs like 5000 pounds) even better way is to do it in the rain and don't give them a chance to turn the traction control off. That's howI was able to get in front of my dad. He matted it and the computer said uh uh not gonna happen, cuz it would have spun its a$$ off. So by the time my dad and the computergotworking together and moving I had already feathered my way in front!Traction Control its a driver mod!? lol.

I hope to get my car to run with a srt8 one day! In my sig are the best times for my car and my dads srt8 charger. I have stage 1, intake, 3in exhaust, and sts. There's more in it but I needbetter traction. A 60ft of 2.16.His charger only mod is an intake.
