NOT ANOTHER ONE!
A warrenty post. Anyway, I've been sitting here debating on it a week. I got the 5 star extended warrenty (tricked into it actually.. "I threw in the 5 star warrenty for you" <my dumbass> "Great!") Anyway, I've heard although throughout the internet of warrenties being voided because of stupid things. Here is the deal, at around 40,000 miles or so (about 3 1/2 years) I plan on buying a street bike, and turning the SRT car into mainly a weekend drag racer, and using the honda as my daily driver (cause it's currently garaged) why you ask? cause It's coo like that. Anyway, I don't see a point in me paying $1,500 for 4,000 miles of warrenty that could possibly be stripped away for them seeing me at the local track, or seeing a little extra wear on your car. From what I can tell these cars are pretty damn reliable, the only thing I am worried about is the turbo, which seems to be the most volitile part of most turbo charged vehicles in my experience. You think it's worth getting rid of, ir should I keep it for that 4,000 miles, and maybe be able to squeeze a repair by if I take it in after that? "Yes sir, I blew my engine pulling off steadily from a green light..".."No I'm not sure how I broke an axle
" And perhaps someone has stripped away theirs and has the number I could call?

The extended warranty in my book is a waste of money. Its not worth it. I'd get the $1,500 back save it for mods, and drive the Honda.
If you take good care of your car, then the turbo shouldn't be an issue. These cars ( as Mule Cars) are tested and tested. I mean th PVO group treated it like it was a rental. Hell they even rolled the One Lap car, still has the dent in to this day. Plus there are SRT's out there with 40,000 + miles and still going to the strip every weekend with no issues. Not to say that you or I will have any issues, but who knows, each car is different.

I have to agree with Gargoile. The SRT-4 was tested extensively and necessary changes (like the holes in the front, just below the hood) were made. It's based on a well-proven vehicle and as was said, as long as you take care of it, you should have few problems. Going above 350HP means you might break an axle, but that's another story....
Whenever you buy a car your speaking with their salesman who is trying to do just that, sell the cars even if it requires a little double talk and flat out lies. And on the repair side you have the service manager who is going to tell you that any mods regardless of their manufacturer will void the warranty which is also false. He is there to protect DCX's wallet and not to rightfully service your vehicle according to the law. These are the reasons that you have to know what is going on and read everything.
Thanks for the comments guys, I got from you what bascilly everyone here told me, but I didn't want my friends wanting to see my fix up my car influence the descision
. Would anyone happen to know, or know where I could get the DXC phone number to give them a ilttle call and say..."He biatches I want my money"? Well, not quite those words, but you know what I mean. [8D]
