it happened last night i wanted to reset the ecu after my abs sensor was put back on so to reset it,
i took the pos batt terminal out, put itback on but in the process of doing so it lightly touched the batt shield which then sparked out, i started the car everything was ok no abs light but then freaking batteryt light came on, removedneg terminal to ck the alternator which seems its working (car stayed on) reset the ecu again, started up again 2 secs later batt light came back on and its been on since then dunno if its a blown fuse or batt temp relay which i dunno wheres located.i dont think its the alternator i have put about 100 miles to car since batt light incident. anybody care to chime in? i would appreciate it..thanks

You prolly shorted out the PCM. Hard to say for sure, but it's that or your alternator.

its proly not your PCM. First, are you throwing any codes? turn the car off, then turn the key to the "run" position (without actually turning the car on) and repeat that step 3 times. Leave the key in the "run" position and you will see a number display where your mileage is:

Pxxx <-- a code in that format

if you dont have any codes thrown, you will see it display "done". You might have fried your battery temperature sensor. As long as your car runs fine, its probably nothing major. Check ALL fuses, too.

yea it's definetly not the ecu. if it was, your car wouldn't be running. most likely a fuse or the battery temp sensor.
