i had rubber but i took it back, i dont like that they flex when your doing 65 on the freeway. They start to look like the neck of a rubber chicken. I wanted a more FIRM look
I can't tell any difference one way or the other. Of course I live in the 'burbs, so we receive a goodly amount of signals.
I've seen those rubber ones and they look kinda cheap and beat up after awhile. Mine seems well made and took maybe 1 minute to install. Unscrew the stock antenna, screw in one of the three adapters supplied with the new antenna, and screw the new antenna onto that. Doesn't get any easier and it looks a lot cleaner...

Yeah, after seeing your's without one, I kinda liked the look, but I do need to keep tabs on the news/weather, so I opted for a smaller one. I like the look a lot better!! Thanks for the idea, Roach!!!
