Default Installing Upgrades and your ECU

I know when resetting your ecu that you disconnect the ground to your battery for about 10min then reconnect. My question to yall is when installing an upgrade such as a intake, exhaust, etc., do you wanna disconnect the ground before you start installing or is it ok to wait till after you are done then just disconnect it for the 10mins?

Default RE: Installing Upgrades and your ECU

either will work...

for safety reasons, all manufacturers will tell you to do it BEFORE you begin working on your car...

if you're going to remove it anyway, why not just do it before you begin the mod on your car????
