Yes, there is yet another newbie on your forum[sm=yikesomg.gif]

I have owned my 73 charger for around 3 years.

History of it:
Bought from some guy's back yard for $1500. Minimal rust, running.
Drove it for a year.
Transmission blew out.
got 'new' interceptor transmission (727)
car got backed into by 15 year old punk that cried when he got out of the car b/c he thought i was going to beat him up (I am only 5' 7" 150lbs, so it made me laugh)
'new' transmission blew out.
I left to go to college at the University of Cincinnati
car sat for 9 months
bodywork began to fix dent and minor rust issues (in progress)
Recieved FREE (i repeat FREE!!) doors from an admin on another forum that found them at a swap meet for free

recieved another 'new' transmission
This week I will be doing the necessary things to install the new transmission.

I plan on doing a motor swap and putting a 6.1L hemi in it. I just decided this about a month ago so I dont know very much about the swap, hopeing to pick up tips and tricks as well as important information about doing the change. Since I am in college, the motor swap will not be done until after I graduate, unless I miraculously find one in a junk yard. with that being said, I am open to the idea of installing a 5.7L which is possible to find in junk yards, and using that transmission for the swap to the 6.1 when it becomes more available or my budget gets bigger. Either way, Im in for the long haul.

If anyone has any websites or information involving that swap, I could definitly use it. I have all the confidence in my ability to do the work, but I also know when I need to do some research first.

So HI everyone!
