Default New to DF

Hello, names Alex. I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota Ext Cab. It has a 318 in it. I bought it with 151,000 miles on it, i was a little worried at first, but since ive had it, its been running strong. Since i have owned it, i had the exhaust redone. I went with dual exhuast, i had th em put a Magnaflow Muffler on it so its a little quieter when i travel, but it still sounds good. I just put new tires on it as well, i went with some National Commando tires. I want to do some engine upgrades and other things so i was looking around on the internet, this site popped up, so i thought i joined.

welcome to DF... you've come to a great site for info.

on your engine upgrades... I have a couple of recommendations for you for a long term build up...

Fastman 50mm throttle body
gibson shorty headers
K&N intake kit
crower 1.7 roller rockers
new timing chain (should be pretty high on the list as the stockers suck)
new plenum plate from hughes or aps precision
heavy duty heads to replace the stockers...

then once your all done with the mechanical mods... get a custom flash done on the PCM to match your mods.

Thanks for that information. I will take all that into consideration.

Thanks.
