Hey Hey Everyon
Hey guys just joined up, been searching for a Dodge Forum for a while and this looks like a pretty good one. I am sorry to say that I don't currently own a Dodge, but am hopefully purchasing a 1999 Dodge Dakota 2WD Ext Cab in the near future. Just thought it would maybe be a good idea to find out a little more about this truck from you guys, such as problems they tend to have. I am not an expert when it comes to dodge, i have been driving chevy since i got my license. Truck has 80,000 miles, and had a $1,400 Transmission put in about 500 miles ago. If i do end up getting it, i plan on going all out with the audio. The setup i am currently planning is something like this.
Eclipse 8445 Head Unit ( already have )
Kicker SS65.2 Components
1- Kicker ZX 350.4 Amplifier
2 -15" Fi Q Series Subwoofers
2 -Kicker ZX 1000.1 Amplifiers
Larger Alternator ( 200 amp? )
Secondary Battery
Wiring
This would also be my first system, so the items might not be exactly right lol. I also plan on (when money permits) 20% window tint, 11 piece Xenon body kit, rims/tires, intake/exhaust, and some other misc stuff. Like i said before, any tips on buying this truck would be helpful. Person selling paid 6,500 and has put about that into it. I was told to pay about that amount from people ive talked to.
