Default North Carolina newbie

Hey folks, just doing the intro thing ....

I'm in Gastonia, North Carolina, married with a 5-year old daughter. In my spare time I'm into fishing, mainly for bass,am an aircooled Volkswagen fanatic and spend way too much time on the internet. I do mechanical drafting for a living.

I just picked up a 2002 Ram 1500 SLT Quad cab. This is my first Dodge product so I figured I'd better start lurking around these places where the experts hang out so I can start learning up on it. I'll try to lurk, search and get a feel for how things work around here before I start in with the clueless questions.

Glad to be here and look forwardto hanging around.

Here's a couple of pictures, if interested.
The grill guard was gone within 15 minutes of getting the truck home and I'm still in the process of de-blinging the rest of the truck.
It's a good, solid truck andseems to be in goodshape mechanically. It'sa little rough cosmetically on the outside but overall is in good condition.
It looks really good from about 25 feet away. The interior is in very good shape.

Welcome to Dodge Forum, Scott!! I used to live just down the road from you in Shelby, N.C.!!! I used to make "special trips" to Gastonia just to eat at the Outback and the Waffle House!!

Hi, I live in Winston-Salem, NC.
What VW's do you have? I have a 74 super bug and 2 more 72,73 supers not running. Got them cheap. Dad and I are building a rail buggy. Can't wait to get it done.
What are you going to do with the grill guard?
Nick
