well first i have to say this is my first dodge. starting to think i made a mistake buying it. always been a chevy man.but i love the power this truck has.1996 2500 ex cab longbed V-10.i bought it for $3100.00 with a few problems ie. tranny,ac,and the beloved cigarette burns in the uhpolstry.but i thought maybe it was woth spending a few bucks on to fix. it only has 74,000 miles. anyway should i keep it or fix it and sell it? tell me what you think!

WELCOME TO DF!! First off... don't sell your Ram to buy a Chevy, if you sell it, get another Dodge... PLEASE?! LOL! You definately aren't having a full Dodge experience if you bought one with existing problems... they really are great trucks!

Anyway, why do you think you've made a mistake? Depending on the severity of the problems... $3100 isn't a bad price... Especially for a v10. It scres me that the price was so low... does it look good? What exactly is the trans problem? A/C and Cigarette Burns can be more of a quick fix...

I hope you see you often!! We need to reform a Chevy man... you can be the first! LOL!

IMO, sounds like a good investment. You can make your mony back using a truck. You can just throw seat covers on and the AC unit is reasonable. It sounds like the tranny should be your biggest concern. Good Luck

Hey welcome to dodgeforums kejo31! About your truck, if it were mine, yeah i probably would sell it. I dont know if i'd trust a v10 truck over 70,000 miles unless i had a cummins deseil. And besides, i bet gas milage is terribleI dunno, just my imput. Lol

the tranny just doesnt want to shift into third by it self any way im going to break my cardinal rule and take it to the dealer for their input.anyway i was at a local auto auction and it was very cold and raining so very few people showed up. no dealers present .thats how i got it so cheap. the ac doesnt have any freon so it has a leak some where but thats fine i can fix that myself as for looks its the beloved white so many people love(yeah right) it has some small dents and scratches but as you all probably know it was a work truck. i really like it except for the dang cup holder on the dash it is fine for holding the cell phone but as for holding cokes it was really a bad design flaw but that is allright i bought a factory cupholder from ebay that fits undr the middle seat and ordered another on from pro pod that fits on the front of the center console so that fixed that any way as for gas mileage i already knew it would be bad. but oh THE POWER . it smoked the back tire from 25mph so naturally i fell in love. my wife is tellin me to sell it but i dont give up that easy so well see after a couple of weeks and if i do sell it i think ill buy another dodge

thanks Kevin
