Proud Owner of an 05 Ram SRT 10
Just picked up a Black 05 Ram SRT 10 on Monday
Still breaking it in but was instantly sold a few weeks ago when I drove a demo. I am a speed freak by nature and why not have the baddest a$$ truck on the market. Already ordered the Magnaflow exhaust and the K&N CAI. Will probably wait a couple of thousand miles and then throw on a SC.
Honestly I was waiting for the 2006 Lightning but when Ford ran into issues and postponed the project opted to get a new SRT 10. A couple of factors for choosing an 06 Lightning is that I built up my Expedition and have driven it like I stole it for the past 6 years and I have never had one problem with it. It also looked like the 06 was actually going to be a 'serious' performance truck (I was never considering any of the existing Lightning models) Additionally I don't have any 'religious' brand following but try to choose the better product regardless of manufacturer. I have always been a Dodge fan...Well a fan of the late 60's muscle cars and the significant innovations and quality cars and trucks they are producing now.
Anyway, I have seen many great posts on this forum and look forward to the future ones.
No pics yet...it was raining Mon night when I picked it up so it already needs a good wash.

Welcome to the forums man! I'm glad you didn't buy a piece of Ford!! Is your 05' Ram Srt-10 a Quad Cab or Regular Cab?

Its a regular cab.....couldnt deal with an automatic or that extra weight...I was actually a little dissapointed that they did a SRT 10 quadcab.....Would have rather seen them do a hemi version with a SC to cover that market space. You can argue that the reg cab Ram SRT 10 is a sports truck that follows the same essence of a sports car. The quad cab version seems to take away from the intent of a 'Viper' powered vehicle and its limited availability.
Of course this is jmo and there many folks out there that are happy to see them produce the QC.
