New here, but an old hand at web forums (w/pics)
Hello!
Ok, so I'm wondering.... if I run springs from a Dodge on my truck... does that mean it's safe for me to join here? Cuz right now that's the closest thing I have to a Dodge...
I do have hopes of changing that at some point though. I'd love to get my hands on a Charger, one of the old ones, 69 or 70 preferably. A lil on the fence about what engine and trans to run though, I thought about a 440 for the engine but I dunno, there's some wicked crate motors out there too... and I've always loved manual transmissions, but wonder if an auto would be better if it's gonna be built wicked fast....
I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of building up an old Dodge truck either. Either a straight up resto or something else, haven't given it much thought other than seeing the one old one sitting by the road near the house here.
For now though I have four and a half Ford trucks of my own...
2000 Ranger supercab "lil Blue", 2wd, 5-speed, v-6, blacked out with some custom mods, my workhorse/DD/playtoy

1988 Bronco II Eddie Bauer "Sh!tbrick", 4x4, auto, v-6, body is rotted to hell so I'm tossing around ideas (This pic is a few years old, before the cancer got bad on it)

1989 Bronco II choptop, 4x4 conversion, 5-speed, v-6, 5" custom suspension, 2" bodylift, locked front and rear on 33's, 35's are coming soon (Pic is recent, the mud has all washed off)

1986 Bronco II, it's up on blocks pending a trailrig build using Dodge springs (Ramcharger front leafs, using 'em all around) and a D-30 front from a Jeep
1989 Ranger, frame rotted out, stripping it down for parts to use to build up other stuff

Glad to hear I'm not completely alone!
I was corrupted from the beginning, my dad is a diehard Ford fan, for the past 3 years between myself and him we have 9 Fords.... including his mint condition, custom ordered (and summarily souped up) 79 F-150.
One of my good buddies is diehard Dodge though, so I'm finally getting some good influence there, he's the one that brought my attention to using the Dodge springs since I want to do leafs on all four corners of my trailrig for ease of construction.

I cant imagine too many members here giving you any problems being a ford owner... if you need help with a dodge, just ask and we'll see what we can do to help.
