New SRT4 and STOKED
Hi all-

I just hooked up with a black SRT4 and am LOVING it. I'm a pro/amateur road racer (SCCA wheel-to-wheel)and still chose the SRT over the MazdaSpeed, even though the MSP handled phenomenally well. I will likely keep my SRT pretty stock, but I may well be enticed by the MoPAR upgrades..... mmmmmmm .... stage 1.... gurgle.

I have a man-crush on the seats in my SRT. I just pummeled my knee playing hockey and can hardly get in and out... and still NO complaints from me. They are just incredible. In the final analysis, the MSP didn't come close for me. The SRT had me from the time I fired it up in the dealer's lot. I had to go 90 miles from Dallas to find a black one (and pay less than like 22K for it - I paid a little under sticker), but it was WELL worth it.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I could be so pleased with a sub-20k$ car. I still can't believe it.

Anyway, I plan to prowl here a bit and see what's what.

Thanks!

New SRT4 and STOKED
Nice to hear from some car lovers who have their priorities straight. I bought a flame red SRT-4 in May. Was taking my 2003 SXT Neon in for an oil change (OK I am usually very practical about $) and saw MY car on the lot. Took it for a test drive and the rest is history.

I met SRT gurl at a MOPAR show in Epping NH. She told me about this site. WOW she did 13.25 on the quarter mile on that crappy track! Had gone to see a friend race his 1996 Viper, but she was more fun!

Hey, I think Dodge may be on to something with this one.......

I'm also thinking about getting an SRT-4, a 2004 model in Electric Blue. Seems as if they added enough goodies to this year's batch that it might be worth buying.

I so have a need for SPEED!!!
