Back in a Dakota
Howdy!
My name is Jared and I just bought another Dodge Dakota. About six months ago an 85 year old man pulled out in front of me and totalled out my 1996 Dodge Dakota Sport. Well his insurance wrote a check for my dead "Red Dragon" (named after Frank the Tank's car in Old School), but I couldn't find a truck I wanted. So i had to settle for a 1998 Chevy Blazer. Now I have an internship in Dallas and some extra cash flow, and I am back in a Dakota! I just recently purchased a black 2003 Dodge Dakota SXT with 23K miles. I feel like I am driving my old truck again. It is a single cab, manual, and no power windows and locks. Well maybe it is a little too much like my old truck, but none the less I am excited and proud of my new truck. I was a member of Blazer forum for the six months I drove that truck, but I just couldn't buy into the bowtie mentality that GM trucks are the best. I am back in what style fits me and makes me happy. Also I can't wait to share my experience of working on Dakotas for six years and my experience of buidling and installing a custom sound system. I look forward to being a member.
