im new here and dont actually have a dodge yet. i drive a 98 camaro that im trying to selll to buy a dakota. you guys can help me with my problem though. im gunna buy a 2nd gen dakota and ill have about 6-7 grand to spend on it and im gunna get a v8. i cant decide what engine to get in it. ive found all different sizes that i can afford but i dont know which to get. i want decent power because i plan to build it up at least somewhat. but i also need at least kinda decent gas because itll be my only car. so how do the different v8s do on gas? (stock, that it) and how are the smaller v8s on power? obviously the larger ones will have decent power but what about the smaller v8s?
