If you think the gas millage sucks now, don't put bigger tires on it. You will be lucky to get 12 mpg then.
ORIGINAL: 4.7Silver

The truck is a 2004 SLT Quad cab four wheel drive. I need to put on some bigger tires and nicer wheels the stock ones SUCK !!

the cold air and exhaust didnt really help me until i started driving 60 miles round trip to work every day. other than that i made this truck sound like it needed to in the 1st place !!!i guess goin from a mustang gt to a truck i still need to get used to driving a truck again.

i also have the 4.7 liter , and after the usual cold air and exhaust ive gotten a little over 3 mpg's gain. after alot of ridicule for not gettin the hemi , seeing all these gas prices goin up has made me believe that i chose the right path .

So, i got an 04 ram quad cab with a six inch lift 35 inch mud grappler nitto's. I heard that you can convert the 4.7L to a 6.1L. Does anyone know if that is possible? If not Where can i get a computer programer for my truck. they only make it up to an 03 4.7 not an 04 4.7.

Noob here. I recently bought a brand new 06 single cab ram with the 4.7 V8. I am really enjoying it, but I believe it's too slow for being a single cab. What would be the best mods for it? I am thinking of getting a s/c sometime next year. But for now, what mods will really wake it up? Gears? any 1/4 mile numbers?

Thanks
