Hello everyone this is my first post. I have a question. I purchased a 2002 dodge ram this weekend cheap but I have to replace the trans. From what I can tell it is the 45RFE. I have the 5.9 so my research tells me it should be the 46RE but the identification says different. Anyway the question. Where can I buy a new transmission for this truck? A local shop said they can do all of the work for $1600 to $1800 and put a 3 year 75k warranty on it but I was hoping to find a transmission cheaper on the interenet. Me and a friend have done this kinda work before so I believe I can do this one as well. Any help would be great.
