Default diesel motor

New guy here, thinking about buying a dodge diesel. What motor is better with less problems? 5.9 or 6.7 diesel Thanks

the 5.9 12 Valve Cummins is quite possibly the toughest diesel ever made.

Know a few guys online that have over 1 million miles on them with no major issues.

Both. The only thing wrong with the 6.7 is the DPF/EGR. Delete that stuff and its going to be as reliable as a Cummins should be. 12 valves (first and second gen) and Common Rails are the most reliable. The VP trucks are reliable, other than the VP44...
