New 2009 Ram 1500 Boater from KY
Hello
I picked up the truck this week. This is the third in a series... 1999 Quad Cab 1500 4X2 SLT w/5.2L, long gone... 2003 Quad Cab 1500 SLT w/5.7 and now 2009 Crew Cab SLT Sport w/5.7. Glad to be here and looking forward to gaining knowledge on the new truck. Old one for sale. We just turned in a 2006 Charger Daytona R/T in GoMango (wifes car). She is now looking at the Challenger SRT8 with 6-speed manual. That car is fast! It can't tow the boat though!

Everyone
Thanks for the welcome. Our thoughts were exactly as yours. The truck can handle the boat and the Challenger can be the go fast toy. The truck is no slouch either. I thought the 03 Quad with Hemi was quick but when we pulled out of the subdivision on to the main highway the wife nailed the 03 in front of me and I went from about 4 lengths behind to about three in front before we got to 90 mph.
The truck I ended up with was by far the quickest of the three that I drove. The other two was a Sport 4X4 (won't fit in the garage) and a Laramie 4X2. The others may have been 3.55 geared while mine is 3.92. It felt significantly stronger.
The Challenger is a beast. I could not stay off the rev limiter in the first three gears as it revs so quickly through them. With a little practice I am sure that is a 12 second car in the quarter.
I just dread the thought of keeping two black vehicles clean all the time.
Thanks for the welcome again!
