Smile Hey guys!

Hello everyone,

My name is Nathan, I'm 19 years old and live in Virginia, USA. I just started a 2 year college for computers and I have a part time job. I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 2x4 V6(my first and only truck). Almost everything on it is stock except exhaust, tires, breaks, stereo, and lights.

I love to take apart things and see how they work, but I'm not necessarily mechanically inclined... The reason I came to these forums is for help on simple modifications to my truck so that I can improve my skills for the future. When I get out of college and get more money I plan on buying a brand new 4x4 truck (not necessarily a Dodge). I want to modify it as much as possible; lift kit, lights, paint, wheels, suspension, etc... I never really worked on trucks before and have little experience dealing with these sort of things. That's why I'm going to try to start out small. I would appreciate any advice you can give me, any websites that could help me. Please send me some links to good and trustworthy websites that I can buy accessories and parts from?

My brother owns a Toyota Tacoma with a 6" lift and 33" tires with plenty of other mods. He is my main inspiration, but too bad he doesn't have the patience to teach me much stuff...

Thanks,
Nathan

Here is my truck:

Haha I'm planning on it because I love their new 2009 Dakota looks! The only problem is my brother keeps telling me bad things about Dodge, since he knows a lot about cars. He added all his mods himself and he's very mechanically inclined.

This is his truck:

Which reminds me, is there any good sites that could help me more understand the workings on my truck, etc, etc...?
