Default new to the forum, dodge guy at heart

Out of all the cars and trucks Ive owned since I bought my first I guess just have a soft spot for mopar. Even though every one of them has been a pain in the ***.
My first car was a 64 dart 4 dr, 225, 3 on the tree. I gave 50 bucks and an audiovox car stereo for it. It went through a case of oil every 2 weeks because of bad rings, the floor boards looked like swiss cheese, and the throttle linkage was some speaker wire. I drove it for 6 months before a rock took out the rear axel comming back from a ski trip. Damn I miss that car.
I replaced it with an 83 Rampage. It had a problem with 2nd gear but for 450 I didnt think twice about it. 2 months later 2nd gear was gone. 2 more and the th gear syncro went. Luckily I had a friend with an 84 charger that was totaled. Gave him 200 for it and did an engine/tranny swap, and thats where the hicups started. It had smog equipment, mine didnt. So we yanked it all off and aparently misrouted vaccum lines. It didnt like to idle at all. That problem got fixed a year after I gave the truck to my little sister when I joined the navy. Apparently I had a cousin who knew what was wrong but never told me.
My next car was an 89 Daytona non turbo, 2.2L, auto. At that time I didnt know about D.D.D. (Daytona Dash Disease), or that it could happen after only 9 years. I also was a little nieve and bought the sob story of the guy I bought the car from. I paid 3500 for it. After a few weeks the speedo and odo stopped completly. 2 more weeks and the trann and head gasket went on the same day. I found out a few days later the guy slapped a 900 paint job on a POS and put it up for sale. I took it to get fixed and found out the tranny was full of sawdust and that the head gasket was already on the way out when I bought it. Cost to fix, 4800. The car sat for 4 years untill I donated it to a high school auto shop.
Ive had a few cars since that one. A couple of Fords and Chevys. A Mazda and a Nissan. Hell even and Olds and a Geo. Theyve all been great cars with very little problems. Except the Olds, I only had it 2 weeks. And now I find myself back to a dodge.
This one is a 91 Daytona ES V6 5spd. Bought it of a little old lady in her 70s for 1250. 88050 original miles according to the odo (Ive since found out it has D.D.D.). She had all the records for it since she was the original owner. It has its hicups as well.
Like I said it has D.D.D. It also has a problem with the oil pressure guage. Always says its high but it does move and go to a more reasonable lvl if I run the car long enough. Also the temp guage stays burried unles the heater is off. The auto door locks work when the want too, but lately its been more often than not. I have heated mirrors but no way to work them due it has no rear window defrost. The interior is in great shape if you dont account for some trim pieces falling apart. Also the mirror adjust switch is broke, I can fully use the drivers window but the passenger has to be started or full rolled down on the drivers side, then rolled up on the passengers side. I also need to find new mounts for the orginal fog lights. it got so cold here the shattered a few days ago. It also is in serious need of paint. The clear coat is gone. But other than that I love the car and have no intent on getting rid of it.
