Default Dodge Journey (Towing)

Hi all,

Thought this might be a good place to start. I'm looking at getting the 2010 Journey R/T AWD with the towing package. I have a 18' speed boat that I will need to pull. Rough estimate on the weight of the boat/trailer would be in the neighbourhood of 2,000 lbs.

Would the Journey be able to pull that at all or am I looking for trouble? Right now I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4x4. I got that when I was single, now married with kids that are starting to get cramped in the back, so I need a 7 passenger now (and the wife refuses the "soccer mom" minivan)!

Any thoughts???

Thanks,

Kevin.

The Journey will handle it, but if you have any hills it will drop 4-5mph then drop about two gears to catch up. They save you can use manual mode put it in 5th gear.
