[size=2][font="Tahoma"][size=2]We just bought an '89 Dakota 4X4 on the weekend and are going to be restoring it to new condition. While having a fair bit of knowledge about vehicle repair, there are somethings which I am going to be looking for assistance on from other members.
Of course, being situated in Ontario, Canada there is salt damage resulting in body repair becoming necessary. I am not really a fan of Bondo or plastic repair, so I do plan on welding areas which can be done easily.
We also have a 83 Aries available for some parts. I am wondering if the power steering pump off the Aries will work on the Dakota, along with saving the alternator for future use should I need it. Are there any other parts which might be interchangable that I should be keeping for future use?
