New/Old?
Hello Everyone,
My name is Gerald.
I live in Denver Colorado & own a 2001 Dodge Stratus Se.
I guess you can say I've been sneaking around DF for a year since I haven't introduced myself til now nor have I added any replies or started any threads til now.
Last month on the 19th I wrecked my stratus,
Was on my way to pick up my little sister from school during a blizzard,
The road was slanted and icy which caused my back end to slide and I lost control.
I hit the median, went in the air blind because snow covered my windshield as I hit the lip of the sidewalk, did a 180 hit a tree head on & then finally spun one more time.
The stupid air bags didn't go off and my head hit the wheel hard, I actually felt my body going towards the windshield til the seat belt caught me.
The car is in my dads garage now and I have started working on the car.
I braced the motor and took off the damaged hood, lower & upper radiator support, trans mount & motor mount. After taking off the other minor broken pieces the motor came back to it's original spot (More forward) and It starts right up.
Here is a picture collage of the wreck and an hour after.
