Default Newbie coming through...

My name is Jennie, and my husband's name is James.

We just bought a 99 Dodge Ram Van 3500, and we are tired of being raked over the coals at the auto shop. It looks like we have a "wild vents" problem, and they were wanting to charge us $600 in labor to tear apart the dash and inspect the blend door... For a long time we've talked about trying to work on our own vehicles, and we are going to jump in a start. He knows how to change oil, and I *almost* changed out my own alternator once- I ended up having to get a neighbor boy to help me, lol. But we are determined and willing to learn.

So- we are total noobs. I may ask some dumb questions, so be warned. James doesn't really "do" forums, so it will probably mostly be me around here.

Thank you!
Jenn
