I figured I better find a forum pertaining to trucks. Don't know if this is the place for the larger rigs though.
Just picked up a cab and chassis today new. Well 08 new.
Has the auto with turbodiesel. 2X4 with the normal goodies. Only thing I noticed missing is power locks and windows.
Will start building the bed tomorrow. The steel is lying by the shop door.
I guess I am here to be told I made the right choice lol. I made one up like the one I have in the dodge "make you own", and it came out to a bit over 42g. I picked this one up for a bit over 29. I guess having them sit on the lot for a while helps the customer.
I haven't any idea how well the cummins with the auto works out as this is the first diesel besides my equipment I have bought. I think I would have rather had the manual, but the auto I am stuck with so that's that.
If there are any things I should look out for as I start the breakin period please let me know. I will be headed to Alaska soon, sure don't want any surprises.
