Newbie from Kentucky
Hey all. My friend Rick (might be here as V8arrow)linked me to a discussion about dropping mid-'80's D150's, so I thought this might be a place I need to be. I've got two of them, and '86 longbed, and an '87 shortbed. I've got one lowered with Chisum LCA's and home modified uppers, still not quite happy that it's just right yet. Safe, properly aligned, yes. Perfect? Not so sure. As soon as I read up on how to post pix on this site, I'll throw some on.
Mopar guy all my long life, family raced Super Stock max wedges and hemis until the Chrysler boycott of Pro Stock back in the day. Currently building a '66 Dart, with a 12" stretched nose for a period correct '66 door slammer funny car (or more correctly for that era, exhibition match racer).
I loved that period of anything goes; which lasted about a season and a half between the factory altered wheelbase cars, and right before the widespread use of fliptops. My intent is to use a max wedge with a blower, but who knows, a hemi just may find its way in there.
